Respect current user's height/altitude

I am interested in using GART for my augmented reality app and I've recently played around with it. I think it is absolutely fantastic!

I just realized that there is a problem: I am showing mountains in the AR view and add the heights. When I am in a lower area (around water height), the peaks are shown on the right position. However, when I am on top of a mountain (e.g. 4000 meters of altitude), the AR View does not respect the current user's height and places the items way too high.

Of course for this, I would need to know the user's current altitude and use the altitude delta. Is something like this already available in GART and/or do you have an idea how to get the user's altitude?

Any suggestions and help are very much appreciated!

Thanks,
André

I've found an easy and simple solution: I am using the Bing Rest Services [1] to get the altitude for a given position (Long/Lat) and subtract it from the mountain's height. The distance delta is what I give the ARView :)
